Back in 80’s while growing up in Brooklyn Hawaiian shirts were very popular and was what everyone in the “In” crowd was wearing. Nowadays when I look back at old photos of people wearing these shirts I think to myself “What were we Doing?” and then it’s that overweight hairy guy in his mid to late 40’s rocking a straw hat and toe thongs I start to get nauseated. but! when I ran across this piece I thought to myself , the only thing missing is the Polo By ralph Lauren tag in the back of the neck collar. This for sure looks like a piece “Uncle Ralphy” should have added to one of his early 90’s summer collections and thats what made me gravitate to it even more. By the look of the original tag (which has but all faded away) I would presume that this item was made in the mid to late 1980’s.
